This notation is pretty simple; dark circles mean covered holes; empty circles mean uncovered holes; a '+' below means to blow harder to get the upper octave; a '#' below means this note is too low for the whistle chosen and you'll have to fake it :) The author of this program always plays accidentals by closing holes, so you'll never see half-covered holes.
When I was starting, I found notation like this to be very helpful, and I know plenty of people who have trouble reading music who find this notation easier. Good luck!

Black Susie For once I joined a Liverpool ship, O roll the cotton down! We had ord'r to go to New Orleans, O roll the cotton down! There it was, where I first saw a niggerwench, O roll the cotton down! Her name was Sue and was liked by the crew, O roll the cotton down! And dark-eyed Susie came on board, And she said to the captain: how do you do? And up aloft his chronometer flew, And she winked with her eyes to the chief mate too, I think I heard the captain say: Another pull and then belay! RG APR99
