     First the heel,
     And then the toe,
     That's the way
     The polka goes.

     To dance a reel.

     Quick about,
     And then away,
     Lightly dance
     The glad Strathspey.

     Jump a jump,

     To dance a jig,

     Slowly, smiling,
     As in France,
