Hey John! let's go to the fair We'll see all that's there And then go on the rides Hey John! you'll go up and down On the Merry-Go-Round Keep your eyes open wide Strapped in the saddle, your mom by your side Anxiously waiting and then........ Holding on for dear life as that horse came alive Still you wanted to ride him again 3. Hey John! let's watch the steam trains Give the engines their names As they puff right on by Hey John! let's all climb aboard An adventure's in store As we take the "short ride" You looked out the window, saw smoke streaming by Excited, you thought it was great But then you nearly jumped out of your seat When the steam whistle screamed at the gate 4. Hey John! let's sing a new song Your voice sounds so strong When you sing out so loud Hey John! we hope you'll agree That your singing at three Really made us feel proud Eagerly bringing your chair to the stage You climbed up to join Mom and Dad Your train hat in hand you sang "I've Been Working On the Railroad" and you were so glad 5. Hey John! let's share in the joy Of our new baby boy Who was born yesterday Hey John! let's go and make sure David's warm and secure As he comes home today You tugged at his carseat and grabbed his small hand With excitement your face was aglow You reached in the blanket and tickled his feet And said "David has such tiny toes" 6.
