I Woke Up One Morning

I Woke Up One Morning
(Kevin Becker)

1. There's a feeling inside me and its rotten to the core
A feeling inside me still asking for more
From some side of darkness, its conquered my mind
From morning to evening, it wants all my time

2. Now I think how did I let myself down
I'm not altogether sure my mind is that sound
All the time striving for success, I'm no fool
   Inside, outside, even in school

3. And now I feel awkward as I fly past a friend
It seems that he vanished as I flew around the bend
Well now a second thought strangles my time
Telling me I should change my mind

4. So I woke up one morning and I said to myself
What can I do without nobody else
I thought and I thought and I'm still thinking yet
That a blind ambition will give cause for regret
